Things short lived 🥀

Life is nothing but a testimony

To things short-lived.

Life sings its destiny,

Yet its sonorous song dies

Just a hand's length away,

Right before the doorstep of home.

Maybe this is life.

Perhaps this is the life I chose.

When the past repeats itself,

No hope can linger anymore.

No happiness can outlive sorrow.

The present is nothing but a refraction of what has been,

For it was the flower that I loved,

Not the weary roots beneath the ground.

Someday this will all cease.

Maybe I will be able to bury the hole within me.

Perhaps I will choose that day

To finally let go.
